The One, Bel Air
With 105,000 square feet, The One is a hillside mansion. The modern Los Angeles mansion spans 3.8 acres and had a listing price of $295 million, although it eventually sold for $141 million in February 2022. The property has 360-degree mountain and ocean views, plus you can see downtown Los Angeles. There is also a 40-seat theater, salon and spa, nightclub, outdoor running track, five pools and a putting green in this luxury mansion in Los Angeles.
27740 Pacific Coast Highway, Paradise Cove Bluffs
Sold for $177 million in October 2021, this Los Angeles modern mansion combines two parcels of land to total almost seven acres. Built in 1980, renovations occurred over several years since 2013. Along with the main building, there are three guest houses built in 1946 and 1956. One of the best mega mansions in Los Angeles, there is also a converted barn for cars, a cabana, a screening room and more.
Chartwell Estate, Bel Air
Bel Air is home to some of the most luxurious mansions. Built in the 1930s, the 25,000-square-foot Chartwell Estate is inspired by French neoclassical architecture. Limestone covers the exterior, while inside you will definitely get a vibe that comes straight out of the pages of ‘The Great Gatsby’. The 10-acre property has 26 rooms, picturesque gardens, a pool house and guesthouse. There is also a wine vault for 12,000 bottles, an underground garage for 40 cars and a 75-foot swimming pool.
As for the price, The Chartwell Estate was purchased by Lachlan Murdoch’s for $150 million, making it the most expensive home sold in Bel Air in 2019.
Warner Estate, Beverly Hills Gateway

This two-home luxury mansion sold for $133 million in December 2021 to the CEO of the country’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Brian Armstrong. Spanning 4.6 acres, the four-parcel estate includes a main house built from 2009 to 2010. The Los Angeles modern mansion covers 18,023 square features and has six bedrooms and ten bathrooms. A guesthouse from the 1940s has an additional five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The property also has two pools, a cabana and a tennis court – essentials for Los Angeles luxury houses.

The Billionaire on Bel Air Road was listed for $250million in 2017, although it eventually sold in 2019 for much less – $94 million. This Los Angeles mansion has 38,000 square feet and 12 bedrooms. There are 21 bathrooms, five bars, three kitchens and three dining rooms. The property also has a wellness spa, fitness center, bowling alley and two wine cellars. There are also stunning details, like a polish steel staircase and alligator skin-lined elevators.
Playboy Mansion, Holmby Hills
Located on Charing Cross Road, this was the home of Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner. The mansion has a Gothic and Tudor Revival style, and it is one of the most famous and modern houses in Los Angeles. There are more than 30 rooms, including seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. There is a secondary house just for gaming and entertainment. The 21,900-square-foot property also has a home theater, aviary, zoo, basketball and tennis courts, swimming pool and a wine cellar.
Surprisingly, the Playboy Mansion as of 2016 is not in the hands of the Hefner family, as the mansion was sold before Hugh Hefner’s death. The buyer was Hostess Brands co-owner Daren Metropoulos who paid $100 million.
Casa Encantada, Bel Air
Also known as the Conrad Hilton Estate, this 40,000-square-foot mansion sits on 9.5 acres. Located on Bellagio Road, the 1930s Georgian-style property is near the Bel Air Country Club. The luxurious Casa Encantada is listed for $225 million, making it the most expensive mansion in U.S. history. Furniture, carpet, and fabric within this luxury mansion are custom designed. The Manor, Holmby Hills
The Manor, also known as Spelling Manor, is designed with a French château style. The mansion has 123 rooms, making it bigger than the White House in terms of rooms. The site was once the home of Bing Crosby, although the current property was designed for TV producer Aaron Spelling. Over five acres there are citrus orchards, fountains, koi ponds, rose gardens and more. Custom rooms include a cheese and wine room, barbershop and bowling alley. As for the price, it has been listed for sale for $165 million.
Fleur de Lys, Holmby Hills
Sitting on five acres, this 45,000-square-foot estate boasts 12 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms. The exterior features a steel-framed limestone façade and the ground has sprawling formal gardens. There is also a running track and tennis court. Inside, you will find a huge wine cellar with a tasting room, a two-story library, dance studio, music room, beauty salon and a 50-seat theater. At the time the mansion was sold, it was considered the most expensive property sold in Los Angeles County, for $102 million.
