Interior Design Work Stages
Our work stages are structured to ensure maximum convenience for you while still allowing us to understand your full needs and expectations to deliver properly. The stages include:
Discovery/ Consultation
As each project is unique and the needs of clients vary, the first step is to get an understanding of the use of your property, your expectations and personal style. Here we will need to review your floor plans, technical plans, photos or videos. This will give us an understanding of your budget, time scale, required structural changes, etc. With this information, we will be able to prepare an estimated budget and our cost proposal.
Statement of Work
After the consultation, we will prepare a document with the scope of work, the expected completion time and the pricing and send it to you for approval. Once the contract is signed; we commence work on your project.
Design Preparation and Research
Project research is very important. We will need to get your input and opinion, because it helps us understand what you like, and more importantly, what you don’t.
During this phase, we will share with you visual concepts and ideas that we feel are suitable for your project.
We will work on space planning, architectural interiors, lighting architecture, floor plan optimization, bespoke proposal items, appliances, accessories and furniture layout at this point, and will present them to you.
We will also work on defining colors, textures, paint choices, marbles/ wood samples, themes, furniture and visual ideas etc. We will illustrate our selections using mood boards as well as organized schematics for each space and room we have been contracted for.
Architecture Interior & Interior Design Proposal Plan
Once we have an agreement and approval on design concepts, colors, mood, overall look, as well as furniture layout and style, we will work on detailed design technical plans and renderings of the project.
Here we offer Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or 3D computerized visualization (depending on client contract terms). These plans help you envisage the finished result, ensuring you are content with the architectural interiors, furniture and accessories arrangements.
This is also when we commission and order all furniture, cabinetry, appliances and custom items for the project.
Implementation and Completion of the project
If you are content with the preview offered, we dive into the final part where we provide all the documentation to your contractor so the construction work can commence. We will then give your property the final touches and deliver your project.
Lastly, if required, Miguel Rueda Designs could offer the additional service of visiting your project site for a final walk-through after everything has been installed and positioned to ensure everything is up to your specifications.
